🇪🇸 El despido de Tucker Carlson de la FOX nos da una pista del futuro mediático que aguarda, a uno y otro lado del Atlántico, a ese espectro de la sociedad que no comulga con el discurso oficial, que no cree que formar una familia sea una nueva forma de fascismo o un atentado al medioambiente, que comer carne es mejor que los grillos o el tofu, que ir en coche es progreso y la bici o el patinete una tomadura de pelo.
🇺🇸 Tucker Carlson's dismissal from FOX gives us a clue to the media future that awaits, on both sides of the Atlantic, that spectrum of society that does not agree with the official discourse, that does not believe that starting a family is a new form of fascism or an attack on the environment, that eating meat is better than crickets or tofu, that riding a car is progress and biking or scooters are a joke.

🇪🇸 Estas ideas que representan a la inmensa mayoría de la sociedad —aunque paradójicamente muchos voten opciones contrarias a las mismas— en Estados Unidos o España después no tienen acomodo ni visibilidad en las grandes cabeceras, cadenas de televisión o radio. No hay proporcionalidad, ni de lejos, entre la opinión pública y la publicada. Una brecha gigantesca, un abismo, separa a quienes difunden las consignas oficiales y esos receptores que ven con asombro la velocidad a la que imponen una revolución antropológica que obliga a negar cosas tan irrefutables como la biología.
🇺🇸 These ideas, which represent the vast majority of society -although paradoxically many vote against them- in the United States or Spain do not find a place or visibility in the major newspapers, television or radio stations. There is no proportionality, not even remotely, between public opinion and published opinion. A gigantic gap, an abyss, separates those who disseminate the official slogans and those receivers who watch with astonishment the speed at which they impose an anthropological revolution that forces them to deny such irrefutable things as biology.

Su voz no es sólo la de un gran comunicador, sino la del líder de la disidencia al régimen de partidos y las élites políticas, económicas y culturales de Washington, Nueva York y Hollywood. El único que ha cuestionado lo que ocurre en Ucrania y denuncia la influencia de la industria armamentística en la política exterior norteamericana.

🇺🇸 Speaking such uncomfortable truths has turned him into a true outsider, a category that so many pretend to be with a rogue pose but that, when it comes down to it, there are volunteers who are willing to assume the stigma of stinkers. His departure, in short, means the decapitation of the most contentious icon -even when it comes to dressing, which he always did impeccably- of the American media scene.

La misma censura sufrida por Carlson la han padecido plumas como Ussía (La Razón), Sánchez Dragó (El Mundo) y Hughes (ABC). Todos fulminados por llevar sus opiniones más allá de la línea editorial y arremeter contra la corrección política, algo inasumible por estos medios regados con dinero público. En el caso de Dragó, recientemente fallecido, la impostura alcanzó un cinismo insuperable al recibir elogios que hablaban de libertad por parte de quienes le habían echado del periódico.

The last few years have witnessed the intensification of censorship in Spain, where journalism makes good every day the phrase of Alfonso Guerra that whoever moves does not come out in the photo. The same censorship suffered by Carlson has also been suffered by Ussía (La Razón), Sánchez Dragó (El Mundo) and Hughes (ABC). All of them have been fulminated for taking their opinions beyond the editorial line and lashing out against political correctness, something unacceptable for these media outlets that receive public money. 🇺🇸 These dismissals delimit the red line of freedom of expression that in practice the regime is able to withstand. In addition, they have a dissuasive effect as a warning to future navigators: if you want to sign in a big media you must swallow certain toads. And as censorship advances, there are hardly any spaces of freedom left in the major media, whether written or audiovisual.

Una ilusión, pura pose, cuando esa orquesta bulliciosa no es más que la coartada que camufla el mensaje único difundido bajo mil logos distintos. El silenciamiento, por supuesto, persigue un objetivo muy concreto: hacer sentir mal a quienes disienten del dogma hasta el extremo de no atreverse a opinar en público. Es el triunfo de la espiral del silencio.
🇺🇸 There are those who call freedom of expression the fact that there has never been more media in history than now. An illusion, pure pose, when this noisy orchestra is nothing more than the alibi that camouflages the single message disseminated under a thousand different logos. The silencing, of course, pursues a very specific objective: to make those who dissent from the dogma feel bad to the point of not daring to express their opinion in public. It is the triumph of the spiral of silence.

El poder lo sabe, por eso sentó al dueño de Facebook en el Senado de EE.UU. bajo la acusación de haber permitido que el discurso de Trump campara a sus anchas por la red. La obsesión por controlar el mensaje es tan asfixiante que no permite que otras ideas se cuelen por rendijas inesperadas.
🇺🇸 This crushing of freedom of speech has been replicated on social networks, the only place where the official discourse is questioned and sometimes even defeated. The powers-that-be know this, which is why they seated the owner of Facebook in the U.S. Senate under the accusation of having allowed Trump's discourse to run wild on the web. The obsession to control the message is so suffocating that it does not allow other ideas to slip through unexpected cracks.
🇪🇸 Carlson, de momento, amaga con crear su propio canal y, vista su primera aparición, no parece que le vaya a ir mal. Estas nuevas formas de comunicación señalan el camino por el que la disidencia caminará frente al establishment. También en España, donde resulta un milagro mantener una gran televisión sin el amparo de la ubre pública. Por eso si las grandes sobreviven no es porque sus directivos sean más brillantes, es por otra razón más sencilla: son los altavoces de las élites que apuntalan la ideología oficial.
🇺🇸 Carlson, for the moment, is threatening to create his own channel and, given his first appearance, it does not seem to be going badly. These new forms of communication point the way for dissidence against the establishment. Also in Spain, where it is a miracle to maintain a big television without the protection of the public udder. Esto lo desarrolla Carlson cuando lamenta los debates estériles que se libran -seamos generosos- en las mesas de tertulia siempre a beneficio del pagador. De ahí que haya un hilo conductor entre el argumentario del partido y el busto parlante que vomita las consignas.
🇺🇸 In the face of this ideological roller, only the networks remain, although, as we can see, they are also intervened. It is a question of who conditions the agenda and decides which topics can be talked about. Carlson develops this when he laments the sterile debates that are waged - let us be generous - at the talking tables, always for the benefit of the payer. Hence, there is a common thread between the party's argument and the talking bust that spews out the slogans.

La deslocalización de empresas, la inmigración masiva, la soberanía energética o mantener el modo de vida tradicional no forman parte de las escaletas de los informativos.
🇺🇸 While time is wasted in sterile debates and fictitious emergencies, the issues that will mark -and are already marking- the future of the West are deliberately ignored. The relocation of companies, mass immigration, energy sovereignty or maintaining the traditional way of life are not part of the news staircases.
🇪🇸 «Estados Unidos se parece mucho a un Estado de partido único», dice Carlson. Este fenómeno también lo apreciamos en España donde, a día de hoy, no tenemos ni por asomo a un líder televisivo o radiofónico capaz de influir y representar lo mismo que él en América.
